The Assassination of Yogi Bear by the Coward BooBoo
A tip-of-the-hate to animator Edmund Earle, who put together this dark and somber faux “alternate ending” to the upcoming Yogi Bear film. Earle created this brilliant shot-by-shot homage to the 2007 film ‘The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford’. Watch the original ending of that film here.
The urban legend surrounding this alternate ending is that it was actually produced by in-house animators at Warner Bros. that worked on the Yogi Bear film (being that even they knew they made a steaming pile of shit, and this was their subtle revenge).
Sadly that’s all false, and Edmund Earle created this all on his own. Kudos to him, because this is superb.
